‘Our Psychological Service Lead, Dannielle Freeth attended ‘Integrative Oncology across the Age Spectrum' on Saturday 20th April 2024. The conference was attended by likeminded healthcare professionals and had a panel of multidisciplinary speakers. Dannielle spoke about how we support children when a patient has a cancer diagnosis; this included an insight into how to explain cancer; how to spot any behavioural changes in the child, and finally how a healthcare professional can support their patients to have those difficult conversations’.
This online event highlighted the benefits of taking an evidence-informed integrative approach to cancer care to optimise quality of life and clinical outcomes across the age spectrum.
The day offered a wonderful opportunity to dive deeper into integrative oncology with a diverse and multidisciplinary panel of speakers, including the Fountain Centre’s Psychological Service Lead, Dannielle Freeth.
