Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle technique used mainly on people with Lymphoedema. It is specially designed to manipulate lymph drainage from areas that are congested, as well as being deeply relaxing.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage involves massage of the lymph nodes, combined with breathing techniques to drain excess fluid and stop it from returning. Compression garments are often worn after MLD to prolong the beneficial effects.
