Services

The Fountain Centre is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm so feel free to drop in any time for a coffee and a chat, or to use our library. Complementary therapies and counselling are available by appointment, so give us a ring on 01483 406618, or come in and ask at reception. Our services are open to all current and former patients, their relatives and carers.

The Fountain Centre works in partnership with the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust and our aim is to complement the medical treatment provided.

While there is no scientific evidence that complementary therapies are effective in treating cancer or any other disease, however, clinical studies have found that they can be beneficial in treating the side effects caused by chemotherapy drugs and surgical anaesthesia, for example nausea. They have been found to ease nausea and may also help with pain, reduce stress and anxiety, promote overall wellbeing and stimulate the circulatory, immune and other systems in the body.
