Counselling at the Fountain Centre is a caring, confidential and non- judgemental interchange aimed at encouraging people to find insight, personal balance and a new perspective on their problems and relationships. The aim of counselling is to support the person to enable them to help themselves. You will be helped to explore your feelings, thoughts, attitudes and behaviours in order to reach a clearer self-understanding. Counselling can help you cope with any feelings such as fear and depression relating to your illness, and make sense of the alternatives available to you in your treatment. It may also bring you an understanding of your role in your own health.
